We are kicking off our public consultation period, and want to hear from you on the five areas under review: natural heritage; rural and agricultural system; climate change; North Aldershot planning area; and our regional urban structure (Integrated Growth Management Strategy). As part of the Federal Review process, the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada is in the final stages of public consultation regarding their environmental assessment of the proposed facility. I am encouraging everyone who lives or works in Halton to learn more about the proposal and to take action to make sure the Federal Government knows where you stand on this issue. The Minister of Environment and Climate Change will announce a decision by September 23.
