Ongoing Community Support The Town continues to provide ongoing support for the Halton Hills community and residents through the Community Support Action Team (CSAT). Property Tax Relief In recognition of the financial impact and disruption caused by COVID-19, Town Council implemented a number of measures to provide relief for residents. These measures included: • Waiving late payment penalties from April 1 to June 30. • Waiving non-sufficient funds (NSF) and arrear fees between April and June. • Allowing property owners to make partial payments without incurring a late penalty until June 30. The last instalment of the 2020 final tax bill is due October 28, 2020. Business Support Over the past six months, the Town has (and continues) to implement a wide range of new and modified initiatives, positioning Halton Hills for an expedited economic recovery and ensuring we remain competitive and 'open for business'. These include short-term actions for businesses to support immediate recovery efforts, complemented by investment growth actions to sustain economic growth over the longer term. Combined, these proactive, decisive and coordinated initiatives represent a considerable investment by the Town.
