On the day that eateries across the province were granted per- mission to reopen for indoor dining, The Bridgewood in downtown Georgetown re- vealed that it will be closing its doors this July. "We are so sad to an- nounce that we will be changing locations," says a statement on the restau- rant's Facebook page. "Our date for reopening is not offi- cially determined at this time -- still looking for our perfect spot!" The owners have indicat- ed that they're trying to find another space to reopen in Georgetown or somewhere nearby, like Acton or Erin. "We want to thank every- one for the immense support we've received over these past few years," continues the Facebook statement. "Running this restaurant has not only been fulfilling, but an absolute gift as well, thanks to our amazing cus- tomers." Fans of the restaurant ex- pressed their support for The Bridgewood remaining in Georgetown. "Hopefully you'll find a bigger, better location in town," wrote Kimberly Mal- covich. The restaurant has opted to keep its dining room closed for now and contin- ues to offer takeout service from Thursday to Saturday.
