Data will be collected under existing condi- tions and compared to traffic da- ta collected once the speed limit has been reduced. The project is proposed in the following neighbourhoods: • Cobblehill Rd. • Barber Dr. • Belmont Blvd. • Wildwood Rd. • Tanners Dr. Staff will report back to coun- cil in the fall. Traffic calming measures may remain upon com- pletion of the project. 2. CANNABIS RETAIL REVISION Little will change with the town's current Cannabis retail policy; the primary revision will implement a formal, mechanized process to assess locations based on the Alcohol and Gaming Com- mission of Ontario (AGCO). To date, four retail cannabis stores have opened in Halton Hills with six proposed. The town filed ob- jections to two stores based on distance buffers set out by the AGCO. However, the AGCO deemed the contrary and allowed the stores to open. 3. SMOKING AND VAPING BYLAW In July 2020, Halton regional council adopted a new smoking and vaping bylaw that tightens restrictions on where smoking and vaping can occur. In addition to the 2017 Smoke Free Ontario Act's restrictions, smoking is prohibited within nine metres of a municipal build- ing's entrance or exit. Smoking is also now prohibit- ed by the Halton Region bylaw in parks, sports fields, playgrounds, cemeteries and trails. COUNCIL WHAT HAPPENED AT TOWN COUNCIL SCAN THIS CODE FOR MORE LOCAL NEWS
