He died peacefully in Georgetown Hospital surrounded by his children. Gerald was born July 8, 1931 in Orangeville, Ontario. He had an interesting life with multiple career choices. He began his career as a Presbyterian Minister and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba soon after he married Joyce to open a new church in St Vitel. After living in Winnipeg for 10 years and starting a family of three children Gerald then decided to try a different career path and moved his family back to Ontario to pursue a career in teaching. He was an English teacher for over 20 years and inspired many young people to pursue their dreams. He retired from teaching at 63. He also dabbled in politics and be- came a Town Councilor in Acton for 12 years. He was a man dedicated to his family and his community and en- joyed helping people and his kindness and thoughtfulness will be remembered by many. Gerald was predeceased by his wife Joyce (2018). Lovingly remembered by his two sons Ross Rennie, David Rennie and his wife Lindsay and daughter Allison Clutterbuck and her husband Allen. Proud "Grandpa" to Curtis, Nicholas and Stephen. Loving godfather to Joyce Byers, Lisa McIsaac and their families. Sincerest thanks to the doctors and nurses at Georgetown Hospital for their kindness and compassion. Due to COVID restrictions, the immediate family will have a small private funeral service. If desired, donations in memory of Gerald, can be made to Georgetown Hospital.
