Acton, Norval, the Glen, Georgetown — all unique and rich in local culture. | love that people here are generally kind and want the best for everyone. | love that | see neighbours at the Farmers Market and that the successes of our businesses are cheered by all. We have outstanding people in our community and | am proud to live here. In my position at the Chamber, | am lucky to know to the stories and people behind the businesses. You already know that we have some outstanding businesses contrib- uting to the fabric of our community. People who really care about Halton Hills and know that their success in business relies on a healthy community. Our local business com- munity is rich in history and each storefront, service, home-based business or company has a unique and one of kind story that is integral to the fabric of our Town. Melanie Frazer, Executive Director of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce Countless studies show that local busi- nesses help create communities that are more prosperous and richer in connec- tion. A significant portion of the money we spend locally is cycled back through the local economy — to make purchases from our friend's business, help our neighbours in need, sponsor our kids’ sports teams and fundraisers and to support all of the special things that make Halton Hills small town liv- ing at its best. The past 20 months have been hard for everyone. As restrictions ease, we have to remember that the businesses that needed us during the crises, still need us as they recover and rebuild. The Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce (HHCC) and the entire chamber of com- merce movement continues to provide sup- port and resources to the business commu- nity.
