Held virtually the past two years, the walk will re. turn to an in-person event at the Gellert Community Centre. There will three- and five-] ilometre courses on the trails community centre. Youcan either walk or run as an individual or get family, friends, neigh- bours or work colleagues and register as a team. There will be a family festival beginning at 9 a.m. Georgetown Hospital photo The Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital returns as an in-person event at Gellert Community Centre Sept. 25. Last year's event, held virtually, raised $80,000 with food and an on-site vendor market. The walk or run beginning at 10:30 a.m. Adult registration is $40 and children's registra- tion is $20. Participants will receive a shirt and a goodie bag filled with gifts from local businesses. Participants can regis- ter on the Georgetown Hospital Foundation's website. The walk or run is one of the hospital's largest fundraisers each year. Last year's event raised arecord $80,000 for the hospital with more than 360 partici- pants.
