The Official Plan Amendment would apply to all lands within the Town of Halton Hills. The Official Plan Amendment is intended to implement changes resulting from Bill 109, More Homes for Everyone Act, 2022. Schedule 5 of Bill 109 made changes to the Planning Act which, amongst other things, requires municipalities to refund all, or a portion of, application fees for Zoning By-law Amendment or Site Plan applications if decisions are not made by the municipality within statutory timeframes. Please note: the Council Meeting will commence at 6 p.m. but there may be other preceding items which could impact the 6 p.m. start time for this Public Meeting. Please consult the Council agenda available online the Friday before the Monday meeting. Legal Notices Required Under the Planning Act: 1. Ifa person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of Town of Halton Hills Council to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Halton Hills before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Halton Hills before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party. Any written comment/objection submitted to the Town of Halton Hills regarding the proposed Official Plan Amendment, which is being processed under the Planning Act, may be made public as part of the process. Volunteers and first responders will be accepting food and cash donations at the superstore located at 171 Guelph St. from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. erving residents of Georgetown, Nor- lornby and Limehouse, the Bread Basket is Georgetown's only local food as date, the annual holiday food drives have collected 94,000 pounds of food and more than $10,000 in cash donations, shared the release. The registered non- profit charity uses all financial contribu- tions toward providing food for those in need in the community. Items including pudding cups, diced canned tomatoes, instant mashed pota- toes, canned salmon, perk coffee, apple- sauce cups, diced fruit cups, and canned fruits are most needed by the food bank.
