For their first game the Eagles came up on the short end of the stick by losing 23-17 to a strong Martingrove Express team. Matt Hunt and Rubin Wray combined to score 7 runs for the Eagles. Scott Allison had 3 hits and 3 runs, Mare ‘| Monchamp had 3 hits including a double. Chris Cormpilas had two hits and scored twice. Other 3-hit achievers where Kyle Hotham, Patrick Potosky and Matt Seamon. Gordon Everett had 4 good hits as last batter. Eagles met Downsview Sentinels and come out hot on a hot day. Kyle Hotham, Patrick Potosky, Scott Allison each had 4 hits and scored 4 times to lead the Eagles to a 24-12 win. Strong defense and awesome offense secured the Eagles third win of the season. E3 In game 3 the Eagles met up against the always tough Cawthra A’s and came up one run short with that run out at home plate. The final Andrew Elliot, 17, drives a baseline shot to his opponent Jason Sands, in the Under 18 Final during the Gordon Allcott Tennis Club Tournament last weekend. Elliot went on to win the match. Gordon hit the ball hard like he had done throughout the whole game, and Andrew Oesch made it all the way to home plate where he slid-in but was called out. Otherwise there would have been extra innings. Stars at bat this game were Greg Tales who hit a triple, double, and two singles, Kevin Bin scored five times and 4 hits includ- ing a double in the Sth. 3 single base hitters were Patrick Potosky, Scott Allison, Andrew Oesch and Matthew Seamon with 4 singles. The coaches were very happy with the way the team played in the sec- ond and third games and feel that if they had won that third game they would have gone on to victory in the consolation round.
