According to officers at 11 Division in Georgetown, the victim asked a person to leave the store at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. The male suspect entered the Guelph St. Crossways Doughnut store eating a piece of pizza. The store owner asked the suspect to leave the store. The suspect, who police believe was intoxicated, stood up and then began punching the victim in the face. The victim was struck at least seven times before four other patrons in the store "pulled the suspect off and removed him from the premises." Police believe the suspect left the area with two other males and three females in a grey or blue Nissan pickup truck with a raised cap. A white Jeep also left the area at the same time. The victim suffered bruising to his face a result of the beating, police said. The suspect is a white, male between 18 and 20 years of age. He has blonde hair shaved at the sides and blue eyes. At the time of the assault he was wear- ing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and white high- cut running shoes.
