If you haven’t ALL SE already, set aside the 5 new materials that can also be recycled in your Blue Box as of February 1: fine paper; boxboard; aluminum foil; Styrofoam; and small-mouth plastic bottles. Put your.Blue Box out at the curb by 7:30 a.m. on your collection — day. It’s espe- cially important to prepare both old and new materials properly for pick-up. Jan. 22 we at Acton Social Services and Information Centre honored our many volunteers at the annual New Year Recognition Party. Volunteers came out to the ASSIC office for hors d’ oeuvres, dessert and a large helping of appreciation for all the work they have done within the community. Without them it would be difficult to offer our many programs to the citizens in Acton who need them. Volunteers at ASSIC perform a variety of duties,their efforts are commendable, their contributions are invaluable. We thank all our volunteers for the time, energy and caring they devote to assisting the community through ASSIC programs. After a review of the alternatives, it has been identified that to serve the planned Georgetown community of 40,000 people, additional waste water trunk sewer capacity will be necessary We will present for your comments the evaluation of alternative ways of supplying this additional capacity as well as four alternative con- cepts for the trunk sewer locations, some of which include a new sewer in the Silver Creek & Black Creek Valley.
