Photo by Denise Lent Minor Novice Raiders blanked by Dundas in semi-final game The Minor Novice Raiders trav- eled to Dundas on Feb. 18 for their third game in the semi-final series. The junior Raiders had hoped to tie their opponents for points, but Dundas poured it on and the Georgetown squad suffered an 8-0 loss. The Raiders appeared tired and Dundas played strong. Dundas managed to out-shoot the Minor Novice Raiders, but goalie Al Humberstone came up with a couple of great glove saves and stopped plenty of shots. The minor novice Raiders need their sticks and skates smokin’ to put Dundas out and move on to next series. Bob Menard, who played for London Knights and saw time in the Quebec junior loop will also lace-up the blades, with brother Howie Menard (namesake of the NHL Hall-of-Famer) who played for Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit and Oakland of the NHL. Tom Dallimore, a former junior player with London Knights is expected to put in an appearance, as is Bob McNeil who skated with Fort Wayne Comets and also played european hockey.
