Mayor Miller came forward, with his wife Gerry, and signed a larger version of the organ donor card which was distributed to all those sent. Maureen Jacob, a Georgetown resident who had a kidney trans- plant 21 years ago, told her story. “Tt was such a change,” she insist- ed. “I could even eat food which people take for granted. I am so grateful to the donor and the fami- ly” Stephen Moore also spoke of his kidney transplant. Moore is current- ly sports co-ordinator for the Canadian Transplant Games: Association.
