The musical is based on a book written by. Anne Beatts, which tells the life story of the famous song- writer, Ellie Greenwich. Greenwich, along with her hus- band, Jeff Barry wrote dozens of songs during the 50’s and 60’s. Many of their songs are part of the musical, such as “Be My Baby”, “Chapel Of Love”, and‘ of course “Leader Of The Pack”. The musical focuses on ‘three stages of Greenwich’s life. “We had a group of teachers that were here (at Acton High) last Thursday and they were listening to the music,” said Tamblin, “You could see them (the teachers) all sit- ting ‘at the table and they were tap- ping their fingers, singing along.” Michelle Luneau, one of the three. - girls who plays Ellie Greenwich during the musical, says she got involved with this musical because she enjoyed being in last year’s pro- duction, “The Bridge Is Out”. “It’s challenging,” said Luneau as she shares her feelings on why she likes being on the stage. Even though, Luneau enjoys being on stage, she has no plans to be a professional actress. “Doc (Tamblin) has got me into sciences instead,” she says, If you wish to attend the show, contact the school at: 853-2920 or any of the cast members to get tick- ets. $7 for adults, $6 for students, $4 for children and seniors.
