By Alex Tough ‘As expected, Hustlers and Dream Team are the playoffs winners in the first and second divisions of the Industrial League. The teams are double winners, having already won the league championship. The season comes to an end with this past week’s results and next season is to be the goal for all teams and players, new and old alike. The challengers could not main- tain their thrust towards the front runners in the end and the Hustlers and Dream Team were worthy champions and shall pit strength against strength next season. A challenge well worth waiting for by the combatants and specta- te [Ors Hustlers saw off Acadian Pools after an early fright, as Gasketman struggled with Panthers and went down by one point. As matters turned out it made no dif- ference to the leaders, whose first point against Bandits in the last match sealed their win. Ensigns met the challenge all the way and came to take second place ahead of the surprise team, Aces, and Independents finish fourth. Neil Olmstead scored 140 and Dan Abercrombie closed out 133 to join the first division stats of the week for individuality. Several players over the season recorded 180. High finish of 154 is shared by Ray See and Jim Fisher with the late 156 by self taking the high start from Jim Carter. In the second division, Kevin opened with 103 and scored 140. Shawn Warwick opened with 115 and teammates Eddie Ebbinge scored 120. Art Cousens closed 80. However, none of these beat the division leads of high start of 160 held by Stan Rhynold and Eddie Ebbinge. The high finish belongs to Stan Rhynold with 141. Other highlights of the week are Al Gardner’s 121, Bruce Capriol’s 111, Horst Schirm’s 121 and Brian Hick’s start of 97.
