The Raiders won two of three games and in the process won the consola- tion final in the NHL Mini Tournament at Etobicoke this past weekend. The tournament attracted other rivals in the Raiders’ Provincial Junior A West Division loop. After dropping the open- er 14-5 to the Markham Waxers, Raiders came back to beat Streetsville Derbys 6-5 in overtime on a Tervor Brandt goal and then win the consolation championship over the Brampton Capitals in con- vincing fashion, 10-3. ome of the question marks for the Raiders heading into this year were Doug Shepperd goaltending and.defense but goalies Jason Stinett and Nick Montessano played solid, according to Raider assistant coach Jay Anderson.
