Last night I attended the all-eandidates meeting in town. The mood was seri- ous. Last year the issue was the constitution. This year it appears that the primary issue is government spend- ing. Looking back over the year it is interesting to com- “pare the events of a year ago. The government went into the referendum confi- dent of a majority win.
