A front tooth is worth $309,300 or 12 cents, depending upon how you figure, according to a survey by the jociation of Endodontists reported in the Chicago Tribune. The materials that go into making up the average tooth - calcium, phosphorus, water, etc. - cost only about 12 cents to buy. But ina survey of 1,023 men and women taken by the association, people put a much higher value on their teeth than that, When asked how much they would take for a front tooth, ‘one-fourth of the respondents said they wouldn't sell a tooth for anything. About 15 percent said they'd want at least $1 million but 1 test weren't so demanding and th average asking price trom the ‘nie ‘group came out to be $309,000! Wow! If you have any interesting “tooth tidbits” you'd Ii Il or mail it to ‘our office. We'd love to hear from WE CARE ABOUT YOUR SMILE! ‘AW. Trenton O.T., ‘The Denture Clinic, 18 Church Street, (905) 877-2359 negative advertising is inter- esting as well. Apparently the Conservative campaign team did not learn any lessons from the referen- dum. “Unfortunately, = Mr. Turner and the Conservatives have sought to deceive the Canadian ublic and have attempted to instill panic in the ste s of our seniors with fal lacte and figures”. It is an in all our literature that we will not cut federal health care funding below current levels. Mr. Turner voted for Bill C-69 in 1991 which effectively froze Health Care funding to the rate of infla- tion. Since inflation is so low now, why would he even make iva an issue. Thi: t partisans ae no more. for the Conservative and Liberal charges that we wish a two-tier system of health care in Canada, one for the rich and one for the poor. There already exists a multi-tiered health care sys- tem in Canada. Where did Premier Bourassa go for his health care last year? Washington! “How did Conservative advisor Dalton Camp get to the front of the line for a new heart this year? Connections! “Ask the sitting members about the private hospital they have in Ottawa for elected members and senior government bureaucrats. “Regarding the issue of pensions again, we are quite clear, we will not touch CCP, the contributory plan, 8 but we will scale back pay- ment of Old Age Security to, those whose combined fami- ly income exceeds $54,000 per year, the national family average. The funding for Old Age Security is totally non-contributory, separate from Canada Pension. The Conservatives changed the OAS income threshold sev- eral years ago, however, the system as it is now allows for a husband and wife with a combined income of over $100,000 to continue to col- ct OAS. Does this seem urely and simply, the Conservatives are not telling No! can be seen in these attacks. “Our proposals are in print and have been for six months. Where are theirs? “The Coriservative Party, bowing to pressure, has started to distribute a plan, but be careful, the ink is still wet and hard facts and num- bers are hard to come by in it. One example talks in glowing terms of how a restructuring of Supply and Service will eventually save $10 million. These guys need a good, hard shake; the deficit increases more than that amount every three hours. “And the Liberals won't even tell us what programs they would kill other than the helicopters. “The Conservatives and Liberals have been control- ling Ottawa long enough. It's time to clean house!” BOVIS BEAUTY Lovely 3 bedroom Bovis sidesplit with 16 x 32 inground pool. rr "homie for thi it-time buyer as 5 appliances and most window coverin; included.
