PAGE 6 THE ACTON MONTHLY VOLUME |, ISSUE 9 Town Council News With Ann Lawlor, Mayor of Halton Hills Hey, Acton Residents, we want to know your views! Town Council is preparing a strategic plan to guide its priorities and work until 2026. Plans for facilities, changes to programs and standards of municipal services will be considered as part of Council’s vision for the near future. We'll be considering every- thing from parks planning to senior’s recreation, managing growth for new housing and industry to snow plowing and road maintenance. An important part of the process is to understand what’s important to you as a resident of Halton Hills. One method of discovering that is through a personal survey. Perceptions about quality of life, what is valued about living in Halton Hills, levels of satisfaction with municipal services and areas for improvement will be asked. A representative sample of approximately 450 residents will be surveyed by telephone between June 22 and July 9. The Town engaged Deloitte Canada to conduct the re- search to achieve results with an accuracy level of +/- 4.6% at a 95% confidence level. Please participate in the phone survey if you receive a call! It will take only 15 minutes for the interviewer to hear your important opinions about services in our community. In addition, an online survey will be available from June 29 - July 23. Any residents 18 years of age and older can add their voice to the survey by checking out the website— letstalkhaltonhills. ca. The Town last conducted a citizen satisfaction survey in 2015. It’s important that we as Council understand residents’ needs, perceptions and priorities as we develop our strategic plan. Stay tuned for additional opportunities to weigh in on a renewed set of goals for the next few years.
