According to Downtown Acton BIA coordinator, Matt Galliford, there will be lots for attendees to see and do at Leathertown 2023. Galliford says the Festival will start and end strong with a variety of musical and cultural performances on the main stage. “Our main stage will be MC'd by Monty Greig. We will be featuring a local soloist performing O Canada, local Politi- opening remarks, an Indigenous Community representative delivering the Land Acknowledgement and an Indigenous Throat Singer, all just to open the Festival! ‘Then the Reader's Choice Award Winner Monty and the Crew will start off the performances for the day joined by Transistor Radio Group and fellow Reader's Choice Award Winners Wicked Truth to cap off the day.” In addition to musical performances on the main stage, there will also be a second stage located at Mill & Willow Streets, which will also feature various musical artists throughout the day. Along with music, Galliford assures there will be something special for the kids as well. “The Kids area is going to have Story Book Characters to meet and take pictures with as well as some games and activities.
