There was a lot of interest in the activities and drop-in programs offered at the centre. We hope to see many new faces. If you missed us at Leathertown, stop by the centre on Saturday, September 23rd between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm for our open house. There will be a new members birthday tea on Tuesday September 5th. You will receive a call inviting you to this event prior to the day. The next monthly Saturday bingo is on September 9th at 2:00pm and all are welcome. The next ladies’ breakfast is on Tuesday, September 19th and men’s breakfast on Tuesday, September 26th. Our next social dinner is on Tuesday September 12th. You will be enjoying glazed chicken or salmon, rice and vegetables plus dessert and Elio will be providing our entertainment. Great to listen or dance to! We have a joint fundraiser with of sister site in Georgetown. Centre. You might be lucky and win the $1,500 jackpot, 2nd prize $1,000 or 3rd prize $500. You must preorder before September 22nd. Four pick up times available; 5:00 pm, 5:30 pm, 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm. Feeling crafty? We will be starting a new program called Gab and Stitch on Thursday mornings. You can bring your crochet, knitting, sewing and needlework projects. Another new program beginning in September is Wednesday afternoon Scrabble. Stop in and pick up a newsletter which covers programs and events at both the Acton and centres.
