The Centennial Concert Band, headed up by music teacher Paul Brisley and the Centennial Choral Ensemble will be playing at the Remembrance Day assembly at 9 a.m. The. Centennial Choral Ensemble is then trav- ‘ling to the Cenotaph to take art in the ceremonies. In conjunction with the assem- bly, a production titled “Video Wars” will be ak formed for the CMS stude1 on Noy.9. at 9:30 a.m. The production features a lesson in prejudice and the serious- ness of war. Parents are wel- come to attend, Tuesdays and Thursdays are volleyball days at Centennial with either boys or girls teams playing on a given day. The volleyball finals will be staged Nov. 23, starting at 7:30 p.m. at Georgetown District High aia Accordit CMS principal Don Warren, the Chargers have been playing well enough to be contenders in the finals. Commencement Ceremony a great success By Bryn Davies GDHS Principal Last Friday GDHS celebrat- ed its 106th annual Commencement Ceremon: Over 225 grads were in attendance, over one-half of whom are now in university. Included in their numbers were 25 students from our Adult Learner’s Program who also received their diplomas. In addition, we also recognized 44 grads who earned 80 per cent or better, thereby qualify- ing them as Ontario Scholars. Commencement is always a total staff effort: teachers, Office staff, custodial staff and administration. In particular Td like to thank Mrs. Karen Gill who did a superb job chairing the committee.
