New members - welcomed By Harry Archer The annual Honors and Awards night was held last Saturday and as well, new members were inducted as Associate of Branch 120. Several awards were pre- sented to various members for long service-and also for outstanding service to the Branch. Don’t forget the mini- bingo planned for this * Saturday. Several innova- tions are planned including a turkey and ham roll. It promises to be a good night’s fun. On Friday there will be another meeting in relation to the planned trip to Las | Vegas. As you already know, this trip is expected to be from Apr. 14 - 17 at an estimated price of $610 per person for double occupan- cy-at the Flamingo Hilton. Anyone interested in this trip is urged to come along. Bring a friend. Tickets are now on sale at the bar for our annual New Year’s Eve party and at a price of $5 they have to be the best deal in town. Guests are welcome also. Seniors dinner well-attended By Harry Norton The Senior’s Christmas Dinner sponsored by the Rotary Club and Branch 197 was well-attended and Santa had a present for everyone. Over 250 very spry seniors enjoyed the food and the entertainment. There was a good turnout for the card games this past week and the winners were for bridge: Len Lovell, Colin Baker, and Ward Hamilton. For euchre: Henry Wedge, Herb Rowe, Marg Wilson, Jean Milne and Lillian Schnurr, The 14 winners for the Meat Draw Andrews (twice), Norton, John Arnold, Al Moss, John Windows (3 times), Andy Dyc, W. Ferguson, Jean McKee, Eileen Molody, Alison Willmott and the large prize went to Sylvia Neville. Coming Events Bridge, euchre and the meat draw on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
