Titus leads Reb wrestlers By Mlke Zrostek Jason Titus of the Georgetown District High School Rebels wrestling team won his second straight weight-class championship in a tournament Saturday at Brock University in St. Catharines. The Rebels, who have just started wrestling fine outing in their second tour- nament of the year. Along with Titus winning his weight class, - GDHS had nine other westlers finish high in their Tespective weight classes. Mitch Dodd, Mike Large, Tan Cox ig Dutchburn all finished in second place. Colin Kay and Bill Stokes were third place finishers, while Mike Rowe and Mike DeRyck finished in fifth place. Rick Melbeuf rounded [fj out another successful day for the Rebels finishing sixth, Coach Jim Hall was once again pleased with the Rebels efforts this Past weekend and also with the great coaching done by assistant Nick Daniels. “Nick brings lots of experience and knowledge to the mat and Jason wrestled great again, winning » his second in a Tow,” said Hall. Next action for the Rebels wrestling squad will be the th annual Rookie Wrestling Tournament _ beginning Saturday, 10 a.m. at Georgetown District High chool. The tournament will fea- ture 20 teams and about 200 wrestlers.
