entire affair was com mented upon on all sides from sat urday afternoon until monday night they wero in tho work of providing ente tainment on saturday after noon tx group of them made a tour of the sut rounding country dressed in comic costume advertising the gala day affair on sunday evening they provided a hacrcd concert in tho town hall on monday morning when thcro had been nothing doing on the streets a number of tho members came out in comic costumo and par aded the streets and in the afternoon and evening thoy paraded to the park and gave a generous programme of musical numbers the dunce on a special platform in tho drill tfhed at tho close of the garden ixarty provided quite an at traction for a large number of people tho hall was crowded with dancers and spectators all evening a local fivepiece orchestra provided the music for the occasion the whole affair was a splendid ex ample of community enterprise there wero willing workers from all classes and organizations in town and all seemed fired with the spirit of doing a worthy work un cooperating in tho general improvement of tho park and its surroundings the committee in charge might well feel gratified with the splendid success achieved for tho affair and the finances secured will warrant the rushing ahead at once of the work of construction of tho new entrances at the park and completing tho improvements in
