gathering of the friends nnd neighbors of mr and mrs ernie anderson met in bloomsbury school on monday evening to congratulate and honor them on their recent mar riage progressive euchre was first played and the winners were for the ladles mum anna mcgregor and for the gents mr ernie anderson then mr ross gordon chairman invited mr and mrs ernie anderson to come forward to chairs provided for them and mrs mansel neuls read the ad dress while at the proper time messrs llndsav ferguson and mansel nelles presented them with two occasional chairs mr ernie anderson made a fitting reply thanking all for the kind words and beautiful gifts after which all joined in singing for they are jolly good fellows and the nat ional anthem lunch was then served and the remainder of the evening was spent the presbyterian church on tuesday nnd was conducted by rev j a mcneil assisted by rev c l poole the sympathy of the entire neighborhood goes out to the sorrowing family and to the playmates at school the anniversary services of the community church were held last sunday june 11th and were attended by capacity audiences sermons were preached by the resident minister c l poole on the following gui burmhamthorpe friday evening mr w w dredge and george have just completed a milk house out of lumber cut from two willow trees that stood at the road on each side of the lane since they were planted over 70 years ago mr dredge helped to plant them when he was five years old and was able to help cut them down this past winter one meas ured 2 feet 2 inches through on the large cut willows of course grow faster than some trees but one can see the advantage of planting even two trees and in this case it wasn t one of plenting them for someone else as is so often heard when planting is
