w j sybil bennett qc mj hal tonvt irst lady member of parlia ment who had represented the county at ottawa since 1953 was buried in greenwood cemetery georgetown following funeral ser vice in milton thursday november 15 the 100car funeral cortege in cluding many members of parlia ment and county political figures proceeded from st pauls united church in hilton by way of acton burial followed a service in the church conducted by rev morgan mcfarlane georgetown assisted by rev lome graham minister of the milton church and rev eric warren huttonville during the service in which mr mcfarlane paid tribute to miss bennett as a vital christian woman who had served well her community and her country eleanor schenk sang one of her favorite hymns the king of love and funeral attend ants another jintothe hills the church was filled with mourners paj nig respect to one of haltons best known residents whose death at 52 cut short an act ive political craeer and ended the law firm of dale and bennett mr dale died a week earlier active pallbearers were george e elliott qc bruce fitzgerald and dr carl martin of miltoln sand best georgetown allan s nicholson burlington and beck wilson
