picked up their rt point of the tricounty hockey season with a 22 tie against georgetowns second- place squad in georgetown tim mclntyre drilled the ty htg goal on a picture- power play assisted by billy mcgil- joway and gary burden in the last five minutes it was a departure from the usual routine when the acton club has lost close decisions in the last few minutes this game saw a real gilt edged ef fort from every member of the team with kent kentner suss van fleet goalie peter swim billy mcgjiloway and tim mc lntyre drawing coach barry inscoes praise the georgetown team rated a had a 20 lead going into the final chapter billy mcgil- loway sank the first acton goal from russ van fleet be fore tim mclntyre blasted a power play shot to knot the count playmg against an allstar team from the town league wednesday the acton club hung a 941 shutout up but they lost a 93 decision in a game just for kicks with their par ents here saturday gary bar- den billy mcgutoway and tim mclntyre rattled in three goals apiece against the town league but team mothers packed too points consisting of six wins and four losses for their friday contest with the league leading hespeler mic macs ahead 63 in the early min utes of the third period the tanners let ancient bob dou ble and the shorthanded fly ers strike for five straight goals including one into the empty net with three seconds left on the clock the situation was almost a duplication of the last fergus appearance here when the tanners blew a three goal lead in the last period fortunate ly they salvaged that one this into georgetown lastthursday night and tied a 33 knot with the leaguelead ing georgetown pontiacs whove dropped only one game this season a 10 decision to bramalea monday night in milton the acton club pinned a 53 defeat on the third place milton le gion club for another big vic- fory in a season which started out poorly with three straight losses the milton win gave them a five win four loss two tie record and a chance to step up into the leagues penthouse the club really dug in to deadlock the highly rated georgetown club on their own stamping grounds some georgetown officials surpris ed accused the firefighters of bringing in ringers from guelphto bolster the lineup the acton club set the pace all through the contest they were never behind pettr mar io put them ahead on an un dangers of playing in woods which are frequented by hunters the hunter told how he very nearly mistook a child for a rabbit the child was playing in the snow behind a tree and the portion visible to the hunter looked very much like a rab bit children playing in the woods should wear bright col ored clothes so they can be readily identified it is a cred it to the watchfulness of the hunter that he
