much slider were also shown of a previous trip to florida show ing the beauty down there some local pictures were al so shown on ot special inter est being the change of loca tion of the old bethel hall at knitchbull this building for many years was used as a sun day school and also an elec tion poll when required it had been sold and the purchas ers had dismantled the build ing which was of log construc tion and moved it carefultv to the coltingwood district it has been rebuilt and some changes made and now serves as a ski lodge several of the institute members and their famines had seen the building last summer in its new loca tion mrs w mclntvre thanked mr and mrs mccullough for their enjoyable pictures bring box lunches and coffee will be served by the hosting institute the quilt committee review ed what they had been doine this month one quilt which a meeting hosted by mrs mansell nellis blue springs road nassaga- weya was mrs c britton president who conducted the opening e recently arr are to be made by the secretary with s allen for a visit of some of the members to the new martin house milton the furnishing of a single room in this new home for the aged is the cen tennial project of dublin wo mens institute the usual donation to the halton music festival was ap proved an invitation was accepted to assist the nassagaweya wo mens institute in producing a centennial pageant in brook- ville hall on june 20 as u convener mrs alex near spoke on several food items that are misleading to the housewives purchasing as to content however she explained these facts are being taken up at the present time by the canadian consumer as sociation the place of agriculture at expo 67 was well taken by the convener mrs w britton mrs near gave a humorous reading the animal in man a dainty lunch was served by mrs n douglas and mrs f mccarron assisted by the hostess mrs nellis mrs c mclntyre was courtesy conven er 4s attention secondary school students you can win chris anderson of south porcupine ont legion ladies from district entertained by acton group a verv enjoyable evening was held in the legion hall when the ladies legioh aux- ilian entertained visiting aux iliaries from georgetown erin bronte milton port credi oakville cooksville brampton and streetsville mrs isabelle moore charlie rocher and e zions played and sang western music ten year old ricky rocher played two selections on the accord ion everyone enjoyed very much com j higgins two solos and john mchugh sang galway bay and an encore george musselle entertained the ladies with a solo also four members of the choral- lers h peal h ohourke j higgins and j mchugh came back manv times for their sel ections there was a draw made for 23 different gifts with winners from all the auxiliaries president mrs g james welcomed the visitors and all the presidents received a small gift the evening ended with a bounteous lunch of all kinds of salads cold meat and dif ferent homemade desserts mrs k turkosz was in charge of the lunch and mrs p turkosz and mrs c shulrjs convened the entertainment mrs lois gordon and mrs r angell looked after the ra- ckv draw because of your importance to the
