40317 milton high school 121792 public schools 1325 eden mills village 2799 campbellvme village 3636 acton fire area 5364 milton fire area and 810 separate schools councillors noted the de crease in the milton high school levy would not last long as the figures were ex pected to rise again next year what you save this year you had better put in the bank you are going to need it next year said councillor mrs anne macarthur the townships general ex penditures are down the public school needs are a slight increase over last year consolidated rates show those in the acton high school area will pay 5943 mills this year up 599 mills milton high school area 5501 mills down 107 mills eden mills police village 6491 mills up 641 mills and campbellville police village 5416 mills down 138 in addition those living in the acton fire area pay 279 mills and those in the milton fire area an extra 154 mills the commercial rate is 8 33 higher in the acton area total 6776 and 784 mills more in the milton area total 62 85 reeve william coulter noted that per capita grahts have been increased this year giv ing most township ratepayers a break on residential and farm assessments but increas ing the commercial levies the township will receive 72653 revenue this year to re duce the amount that must be collected through taxes major item in the general expendi tures for 1967 is 92000 in the roads budget in other business at last nights meeting derek demynn appeared to request compensation for a development road widening program which took 25 feet off his frontage ruined his driveway and may 24 1967 5 cold cub camp at orangeville on weekend district cubs were chilly but determined when they spent the weekend at camp at or angeville seven boys from ac ton a pack with one of the fathers howard coles spent the holiday weekend at camp at orangeville following through a wellplanned pro gram despite the constant cold the boys wore warm cloth ing and some keot it on all night there were between 40 and 60 boys at camp including from acton leslie coles gor don gibbs russell coultrup barry payne mark lowe barry allan and glenn lee cub leader mrs robert grant helped set up camp and drive
