ing the past summer of the ger mans bombing a hospital at a can adian general base in france and now you will read what i have to say about it at least about the hospital some miles farther down the roadway on the side of which i saw my first french cemetery we began to descend a series of hills among jwbioh were a few boors farm- villages these are con sisting of three or four houses with barns etc one or two apple orch ards and many green grain fields finally ahead of us we saw a long large hill showing many patches of bare sand and leading away from the other hills the road turned and led along the level ground not far distant from the large long hill presently we oame to the hospital which later the germans bombed it was a large frame edi fice with a number of wings if i remember correotly there were two stories tp the main ward and the wings there were also a number of smaller out buildings in connec tion with the hospital a beauti ful yard surrounded these build ings not an
