as nothing but persons responsible for such influences are in the small min- ority and they are not lho more in- leillrent mindstrashy literature heatres tli talkies etc cause doubt in many minds as to uic necessity or god and the sense of sin is largely destroyed deceivers have deluded many minds and there axe men and women who ay twit uttlo attention to the word of god we should remem ber that all sin bears fruit in our bodies and lives excitement and en joyment of the comforts of life are today available to almost all and comfort on one hand ajid excitement on the other helps us to forget god forty years ago it was thought there was no possibility of harmony between theologians and scientists but today theologians and scientists are really coworkers with few exceptions for ihe grand ideal of truth of god many scientists of recent days are christian men and seek divine guidance in their work through prayer dont forget god because a few of the lesser lights in science make a noise the great tendency of science today is towards the gospel of truth and scientists and thcoldglans are working to help make the world and society better no one can accomplish the greatest in life without gods help there are vari ous groups in communities the world over each wanting to be supreme nothing good can come of a divided state of society there is need for unifying power to raise men and wo men to a new plane of life and there is only one power through which that can be accomplished tne power of al mighty god there is abundant evi dence of his power in this world where every planet works harmoniously with every other part of the universe this could not be without the guidance of god these marvellous works and splendid beauty assure us of a won derful being behind it all pupils seem to be anxious to make pro gress and have proper attitude towards their work the lack of an assembly hall and a gymnasium is still a serious handicap at present satisfactory arrangements cannot be made for physical culture nor can the pupils all meet together in general assembly i am glad to leami however thajethe board is sym pathetic towards these necessary ad ditions and uhavc no science when this universe comes to an end god will be there to guide his people to eternal everlasting light theology is supreme over science we are all called to be preachers of the gospel in our daily life or by word of mouth the world is waiting to see jesus christ in us k master teacher healer comforter and one who understands the realities of life the world can only see jesus if you and i reveal jesus to the world let us give our selves to ood by carrying the spirit of jesus christ into the world and show that we are walking with jesus that others may join with us in the worship of ood before the mountains were brought forth or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world even from everlasting to everlasting thou art god the special music rendered by the choir under the able leadership of mr jack thompson and the organ volun taries by mrs- w p bradley were much appreciated and enjoyed by the large congregation the chancel of the church was beautifully decorated with flowers there was a large congregation again in the evening and the service was fully choral ttic choir sang to thee we call by rachmaninoff as a in- trolt and olory to ood the father for the anthem the rev j t rob- bins preached another powerful ser mon from the 40th chapter of isaiah verses 30 and 31 even the youths shall faint and be weary and the young men shall utterly fall but they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength they shah mount up with wings as eagles they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint he drew a wonderful picture of the inability of man by himself to fight the battles of life even at the best time of his life the time of youth and went on to show that only those who wait upon the lord can get the supernatural strength to enable them to soar up like eagles to rise above the difficulties and trials of life get the strength which will enable them to run the race of life wlthdut getting weary and walk the dally path of duty
