to go out and back on that car there you just run and jump on while they are going or get off the same way most ot the time if you con do it we got oft that way we saw quite a lot ot bomb damage taut it was mostly all nice homes and stores whan we got bock we went into same of the stores then found a nice place to eat yes the said they had scrambled eggs and toast for supper but boy how i would like to see the hen that laid those ens but we had tea and cake with them all for 1 shilling 8 pence bo then we tut the right car and soon found the places we were looking for we found maos young lady are having some boring weather just now we had a nice utile rain the other day which put a stop to the bush fin for a day or two we have had a lot of bush brer the last week or so i think it la the young boys that start them because any time there la one whloh la often 2 or 3 times a day there are always from 1 to 4 boys there first and they all uve a long ways away it ever the wind gets warm it will be nice around here all the wild oowere or owning out tn bloom no there are some lovely homes around here but what keeps me wondering la how and why so many have great big homes so fsr apart and back in the bush well i guess 111 have to dose this for the time bo wishing you and your staff the bast ot luck ill say good night tor this time and look tat aomg aaja we found some uan and cups stag bad a good supper tnen we took th girls rack home and started for the v and for the lint tune we did not get lost and w were home before it pm sunday 1mb up at sjo am had something to eat and started lost again gee how you can get lost over here had dinner found a place to sleep st the over seas club not so good as the y club we had three beds tn the room the beds are hard and the room cold but ve thought it woold do for one night after dinner wr took a walk all up around the old castle gee it is nice up there and au around 11 i don t kno how high the rock is that the castle u built on but it is up high enough to look over most any part of edinburgh then we hsd supper it cost more to eat here and you dldn t bet so much and there are not so many p sees to eat but there is a bank on most every corner and somt times in between oee no wonder they say the sects can save money for they can bank it before they have time to spend it we took in another show here then thought it was time to go to bed but i was wrong that time oh yes got to bed ok but about that time in comes another fellow looking for his bed but there was a fellow in his bed and he took on hour and a halt to tell me the fellow had his bed then another two hours to wake this fellow up and tell him hes in the wrong bed and get the fellow another bed well they get another bed o k but back they come to wake the fellow up to tell hlrn he could stay there bull there wasnt any need of that for he could not lcavr anyhow under his own steam well starch 17th we went out to the zoo to see our friends boy how they can climb but that is a grand place i wish i could have seen it be fore the war it is nearly all on a rocky lullside well we stayed there about 3 hours i took 4 or 5 snaps while there most of them i have sent home i hope the fish dont get them then we camo back to the city again had some more to eat and got our train back to olasgow at 0 40 pm was in olargaw by 745 pm had some more to eat and got our train back to lon don wo travelled all night and what trains to try and sleep in you just dont sleep it was about 8 am when we arrived in london we did not haw much time to stay there so wc just walked around and took a bus to tho zoo we wanted to see th wux works too but cud not have time the london zoo is nice but not like the one at edinburgh we saw a lot of london tor the tune we were there some paru of london have been hit hard but ther is a lot of london there yet to see well our tunc is getting snort now it ts 8 pan and wo are on our train again headed hack to camp wc turned in our passes at 8 is just 3 and threequarters ot an hour early and that was a lot better than that much late for that much late wc would havo been doing pack drill for three hours a night lor the next five days well that was my 7day leave last week x was out to another camp four of us went with ten officers and that turned out to be a real old home week for mo one of our four was broke the outer two were in three days so you can guess how they put in their time as for myelfwell i was only five minutes walk from the camp where a lot of the lome soots ore stationed i met about 16 of the boys from home from
