trans ferred to a canadian hospital bus says the red cross is doing a swell job over there and supplies the sol dler with almost anything they might need pte norman mcdonald gnb edwin smith liberated from german prison camp the rapidly advancing allied armies brought good news to two georgetown homes over the weekend when official word came that pte norman mcdon aid and onr edwin h smith prts onersof war in germany were now safe m allied hands pte norman mcdonald son of mrs emily mcdonald and the late mr mcdonald rr4 acton was listed as missing last october nth and several weeks later reported to be a prisoner ofmr in germany a former em ployee of smith stone l he enlisted in the iping of 1942 with the 48th highlanders and later transferred to the r h l i he went oversea hi january manse by ren c c cochrane on saturday april 14th when helen crawford daughter of mr and mrs root cr awford of powassan and alex mcdon ald second son of mrs and the late angus mcdonald of rim acton were married the bridesmaid was miss evelyn eduards of rocfcwood the grooms- iran was the groom s brother mr joseph mcdonald the bride was attired in a blue street length dress with hat and accessories to match and a corsage of rervoses the brides maid was attired in a beige street- length dress with black accessories and corsage of plnkgoses the grooms gift to the bride wss a silver
