georgetown a group of public spirited young men who are interested in fostering sports in georgetown have ar ranged an organization meeting in the old town hall next friday evening at 8 oclock when it is hoped to organize a committee to handle summer and winter sports among young people up to 18 years of age this summer we have seen a revival of softball and hardball in georgetown due to the good work of a few young men who have given generously of their time to organize good clean sport among the young sters it is the feeling that with the backing of a per manent organization with funds available for equip ment there is no limit to what can be done to encourage amateur sports we have one of the fines arenas in ontario and more use should be made of it to tram young hockey players we have a firstclass park with good ball diamonds some day we shall have an ath letic building where basketball swimming tumbling and other indoor sports can be participated in meanwhile such a sports organization as it is hoped to form on friday night will be laying the ground work for the future every citizen who is interested in the work is invited to be on hand and assist in the work of sports
