members mrs fred harrison in toronto general hospital on sunday july 28th the former elizabeth bess walker she was the daughter of mr and mrs sam walker and was born near ner val 30 years ago she moved with her parents to georgetown when a child and attended school in town where bar pleasant personality made her a general favourite with a wide circle ot friends during the war while her husband is now going through the- presses to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of thsociety the 1946 prize list offers the largest amount of prize money to exhibi tors of perhaps any fair on re cord and exhibitors are asked to read the various items carefully in order that they may appreciate the efforts being put forth by the directors the booklet now being issued not only contains the prize list but is also issued as a souvenir program with a goodly scattering of pic tures and historical data regard ing the centuryold society the program carries a list of the events tor the day and a photostat copy of the memorial which is be ing erected in the park by logan fc haines st contractors to mark the looth anniversary work is progressing satisfactorily on the memorial and it will be 1934 aged twenty yean after the processional hymn the rector mr harvey dewrjurat and mr montague merryday cfaurchwar- den proceeded to the veiled window after the invocation the rector ask ed mr dewhurst to unveil the gift which he did formally p it to st albans church mr merry- day tor the congregation accepted the gift thanking the donor and re quested the archdeacon to dedicate st the
