uae most of tbe three hours at the old town hall arts hobbies we hsve good news for the budding artists and hobby fans classes will start on saturday morning november 16th for some groups and it is hoped to bave the lull programme underway before tbe end of the month until now it has been almost impossible to go ahead as we had practically no equipment to work with but now through the kindness of some of the citizens we have been able to order work tables and benches through the war assets corporation and it is ex pected that the hall will be complete ly furnished before the end of the month the old tables and chairs which we were fortunate enough to obtain in our furniture drive will be sufficient to get the saturday morning group started announcements for these first groups will be made in the public school early next week furniture we stated above that some kind citizens had made it possible to order sufficient tab les and benches to equip the old town hall these citizens who wish to r in the background for the time being feel that there are dozens of other folk in georgetown who would like to help out this is how it can be done the war assets crporation are selling the work tables for 300 each and the folding benchs for 125 each will you donate a table or a bench for the work of the recreational council yes a 300 table will make it pos sible for 4 boys or girls to work at sane craft or hobby and 125 will make it possible for the same number of boys or girls to have a seat to sit on while they pursue their bobby or craft so our appeal is will you buy a bench or table so that there will be enough accom modation for all the boys and girls who are interested in crafts and hobbles if you will get in touch with any member of the recreational council or the director at the old town hall theatre for tbe past two months apprentice productions have been working hard on a number plays which will be produced this year in georgetown stage director jack
