united and anglican churches beautiful quttts and needle work made a most attractive show exhibits were lovely m workmen- imp and design m the crochet and embroidery classes and the tables were too small to display their beau ty to beet advantage knitting occu pied a torge space and cakes pies and other eatables were there quantity and were snapped up by eager buyers after the snow three prizes had been provided for crafts sports schedule ends at norval playoffs this week playoffs are in full swing at ner val recreation centre this week with the regular schedule ended in the girls softball and boys soccer league leagues which nave been operating for the past month participants in the games are all pupils at norval public school and the games are sponsored by the norval recreation centre in cooperation with the school- teaching staff the soccer fills in the gap between lacrosse in the summer and hockey in the winter while soltball was introduced to give the girls spare time sport activity which had previously been lacking success of the introduction of or ganlsed recreation among the girls is shown in the interest which was taken in the thrice weekly jpt the bluebirds after getting away to a slow start ended their set strongly to win first place last week they won 9 6 on wednesday and hobbles but the judges found while the other two games were tied it necessary to divide
