interclub com petitions were held at the ontario agricultural college in oil 215 teams ot two members each parti cipated in the various interdub compctltfoni via dairy cattle beef cattjlc swine poultry grain po tato tractor maintenance- fores- tryi clothing and food these yoiinit people came from lambton and bruce on the west to glengarry and renfrew on the east anfl tcmlskamlng w the north they were oil between uland 20 years inclusive and in alpcases it was their first opportunity to rep resent- their respective clubs in such a competition u was a big and busy day tor all concerned in short ten different competitions were in progress at the same time in various buildings on the college campus the dairy cattle teams to illustrate had to judge and give oral reasons on one class each of hol- stcins jerseys guernseys and ayi- hire ond also answer orolly six questions pertaining to their club project this apparently was the most popular project since it brought an entry 81 55 teams a club team from qrenvllle county placed first and will represent on tario in the national or internat- tnclal contest at the royal halloa wos represented by two teams one from the walton jerseyguernsey club and the other from the mil ton holstcln cilf club the former team was composed ot don joyce and grant devlin who placed 7th as a team and the latter club by geo roglster- and james brown who placed 1 ralton was also represented in the interswine competition in which fifteen teams- competed the winners being a team from west durham dub who will represent ontario in the national contests previously referred to the holton team was composed of howsoit rud- doh and james currle who ptaced fourth as a team j in the tntcrgratn club compe tition there were thirtytwo teams competing and here again durham county team placed first and will be the ontario representatives in the national contests the halton grain club team was composed of johnvw picket and john c wlll- mott who plated second and were therefore runnersup to the win ners in the interbeef club competi tion there were twentyeight teams with the honours going to one of the peterborough county club i in the poultry project there were only six teams and her the win- nan ware from a west elgin club a durham county team again won the honours in the interclub potato contost in which eighteen teams competed a new interclub contest in for estry brought together twclvo teams and here a grey county team won the first honours halton county was not represented in any of these three contests another hew interclub contest was in tractor maintenance where the honours were won by a huron county club team while halton was represented on this particular project p doh milton arid don watson we wcro not
