moved into their home on maple avenue beside the shortills coming to town from ashgrove where their foimer home was sold to john isniond mr brownridge will continue to operate his live stock trucking and farm produce business from his now headquarters in town mrs vic smith and two young children have joined mr smith in ottawa where he is a member of the motilities into their former home on ewing cowiehan vancouver island mr and mrs ted arnold entertain ed at a farewell party for them and friends mrs miller was presented with a pretty necklace and mr mil ler was given a tie pin also be fore she left for her new home ruth was given a farewell party by the monday night knitting club at the home of mrs jack watson when the members gave her brooch as a parting gift letters home from ruth tell that lake cowiehan is a town with a population erf about 2o0o thefy have been fortunate enough to get a nice little apartment and ruth can see the mountains from her kitchen window when seventy high school students went to toronto to see the famed vienna treas ures they had an added treat something of really current interest to offset the charm of the ancient on that day iritpe minister st district board of halton womens institutes was held recently in st pauls sunday school room milton with representatives from 15 bran- ches and the executive present several matters of importance were dealt with which included ways and means of financing acww meeting in 1953 when the ontario womens institutes will be hostess to these delegates from all over the world it was decided to set aside a
