llie wife neecufa rest and some light reading will just fill the bill and the kids like to look at the pictures the first day of course must be devoted to the beach after all the kids have been looking forward to swimming and we modern parents don t spend enoutrh time with our families the second day well it s u hame not to spend another day with the family they don t see us that often sunday hardly a day for writing editorials and besides there might be a few old friends at the beach and it s only courtesy to say hello besides we hacm t really planned to do any work those first three days and there is still a long week ahead for some really solid work we almost forgot hat monday means a trip to town one can t write editorials with out meat and groceries and a cooling dip certainly helps out after all that work of shop ping the kids certainly are enjoying them selves aren t they i tuesday well this might be the last good day at the beach and we vc written three editorials at a time be fore so plenty of time to catch up on the sche dule wednesday a cold day glad we hats off to the ladies an editorial in last week s acton and milton papers caught the attention of a ccor getown lady who asks that we reprint it here is how editor dills ocpressed him self women have often been reprimanded for not taking a more active part in municipal affairs it came to our attention as we ntten ded the official dedication ceicmony of halton centennial manor on sunday that the women have been working in many ways just as cf fectively as some of our municipal officers who give considerable time to their positions it was the halton womens institutes that came particularly to our attention even though we realize there are many other womens or- wuited but perhups we should travel a few miles down the line to say hello to the folks in chesley well be back in plenty of time for some work certainly feel like it in snappy weather like this my the 1iids are enjoying it here on the farm chances are they won t have another day in the country for a long time rhursdny wow wtiut a scorcher really too hot for the beach but it might do the kids some good you read so much about heat prostration and we wouldnt wunt to take any chances friday out of meat again perhaps if we took bathing suits we could save some tune and try out the bejch on the other side of town saturday a perfect day isn t it bet you anything it will rain to morrow and we can spend the whole long day with pencil and paper sunday just one small dip lhe kids probably won t want to go to the beach alone next week should have some time tonight after we get back to geor getown hie house will be good and quiet and it s surprising how fast one can write edi onals without disturbances monday is the editorial ready mac yeah just n minute there s a couple of things here i want to change a busman a hoi days if i ever saw one but maybe i better keep some of these for a tough week remem ber last year it was oppendicitis and they siy that sometimes comes back i ll just tuck them away and rattle out something else sure it will only take a minute here goes gamzations which are also contributing to the betterment of our communities ladies of the halton women s institutes were on hand sunday strategically located to explain to the many visitors the rooms and accommoda tions of the manor not only were they taking a major part in the success of the tour but the ladies of the organization had also raised money to provide some of the additional comforts for the manor such as combination radiorecord players wc d like to take our hats off to these ladies who are making a definite contribution to their communities and to the other ladles in the other organizations who are
