tracted by an evening gown worn by a curvaceous model that would look nice at our party satur day she hinted to her husband sure would he agreed why not invite her editorial frrins is here don souther this years commencement pro ved very definitely that grs has good talent there is only one time in the year when this talent can be shown under school auspices a large crowd attended both nights and trie same crowd would be present if a high school dramatic association was putting on a play this would be a big help to the student coun cil as far as funds are concerned and probably they would derive more revenue from a play than from a party if we had an association of actors in the school the students could learn all the different aspects of the stage ghs definitely has talent as was show n on thursday and friday it was a great deal of work but it was also fun if we had a drama club we would be keeping up with the toronto schools where drama clubs are co the student council would never again be stuck for funds for crests etc we have an excellent director to start the ball rolling mr lambert did a fine job of directing and pro ducing the commencement play later on this position could be ta ken by students making an all- studen drama club a lot of fun can be had and who knows but from ghs might come one of can ada top actors spring must be here cor the school has broken out in a rash of jtaseball it isn t safe to walk across the field for fear of being clanked on the noggin by some stray base ball another sign of spring is the beginning of training for the inspection sergeant al teeter is here again tearing his hair as he sees georgetown s last hope march ing across the field every avail able offduty student is how being briefed in how to train for the inspeotidh there are plowmen is p ssil e it this ctrs first woim i ith our easter service we should ex amine our easter thinking making sure that though the human element may be present that the true christian directive is uppermost we should make sure our think ing is directed te jesus if he had taken the easy way when things looked black for him as we almost ccrtaindy would have done there would have been no happy easter as we know it but let us remem- herthahewent through the ag ony of gethsemane the cruel suf fering of the cross though blame less agony and suffering so intense it rung from him the cry my god my god why has thou forsaken me all for us which should also direct our easter thinking to god because god permitted this suffer ing and suffered himself through it because he was concerned about us about our slipping away from him and this was the way he chose to show us of his love and concern for us in the hope we would worship and believe of our own choice and not doubt then as matthew records the first disciples went to the tomb on easter morn to honour the dead but soon they found that god nad done something something big so big that they were bewildered per plexed il looked as if death had been turned into life their defeat into victory their triumph so great it took time to realize god had cer tainly vindicited his son jesus and vindicated their belief in him and yet some doubted too big for them to grasp how much proof do we need let us keep our easter thinking triumphant not doubting and if pur baster thinking is going to be straight it must be directed to man as well as to jesus and god the iather that is gods wish all this was done for man because of god s love for him so our think ing must be directed to the bring ing of man into the kingdom of god on earth that is why just before jesus left this earthy he commissioned his disciples and through them commissions us to go info all the world and preach the gospel to e ery creature so if we get our easter thinking straight and honour our commis sum then with god s hclip we should be ible to bring in the brother- n d of man under god his great plan for his world and surely our mc tie st desire peace and goodwill the world oer what an incen tive the easter message brings to our eister thinking the chon sinj the anthem king georgetown i hereby appoint the 22nd day of april aj 1953 at my chambers in the
