halfhmand tree planting for many women a institutes of ontario this coronation year has been marked by a crusame of tree planting mr donald young inspec tor of public schools for haldlmand county reports that the help of the institute district presidents of east and west haldlmand mrs p mat thews and mrs l keefer made it possible for him to set up school improvement committees for a large number of the rural schools of the county these committees not only planted coronation trees they planted flower beds and started per ennial borders at one school a cor onation flower bed was laid out with red white and blue flowers in the shape of a crown in addition to planting coronation trees children brought extra evergreens and shrubs for planting fence posts were pointed at school where oil heat ing had been installed the old wood shed was taken down at another school the shed was made an ex tension of the vestibule with a solid rack for blcycleff built in the small school ground im
