years sam walker died on friday december 27br at his home 20 george street fw a long ill ness he was born on april 14 1888 il syston park england son of the late edward walker and seuna grbbitt walker one of a family of fourteen he is survived by one brother jim living in dor king surrey england in 1910 he came to ashgrove to live with bis brother george who was living there at that time prior mr coining to canada mr walker was a footman for princess hohentow his father edward was 42 years with cdn general jlectric after an illness of several mon ths william campbell ure died in toronto on friday december 27th he was born in glasgow scotland the son of william campbell ure and mary carswell ure and came to toronto in 1900 where he lived until 1948 at that time com ing to georgetown on his retire ment at that time he and mrs ure moved to 24 market street where he remodelled what is known to older residents as 4he matthews place mr ure was with the canadian general electric company for forty two years retiring from there as mechanical superintend ent he was also with the radio walker was a coachman for su valve company as production i john thorold for fifty- years the superintendent and during 1ie town of thorold in ontario was war was with research enterprises named after this man in 1912 he as mechanical superintendent mr married evelyn london and they ire was a member of t john s made their home on the nowal united church and a member of road until 1916 at which time at wmmttj the kiwanis club his wife isabelle woouings ure survives him as do three sons william c leonard and david and a daughter margaret mrs k sbeppard and seven grandchild ren the funeral service was con ducted by rev morgan mcfartane of st john s united church at the turner and
