course we can remember too the war years when if it hadn t been f victory loan campaigns the herald might have quietly starved to death when we were only sure of two ads sometimes on mondays the gregory theatre and car red cross month march is the month when the red cross ap peals for funds in a nation wide drive and this jyeat agaih georgetown and district will see an intensive campaign spearheaded by an active group of workers who know the many fine ac complishments of this great organization which is equally active in war and peacetime the local fund drive will take place on mon day march 17th as a blitz campaign and peo pie are reminded to be on the lookout that ev ening for a red cross caller locally the ob jective is 2500 less than 50c per person m the community a little help from everyone and there is no doubt that the quota will be easily reached no relief rolls here with talk of recession and unemployment in the daily pngss it is comforting for george town to know that there is not one person at present receiving town relief may this happy state of affairs continue it is a credit to the town s industries that there ore no great ups and downs in employment here and georgetown is most fortunate in hav ing the type of industrial operation which pays a good wage rate with some assurance that a man will be working at his trade 52 weeks a year much as we need
