mr young was a native of swansea wales com ing to georgetown in 1923 he ran the silent movies when the hex was the popular entertainment spot in the building which now houses the odd fellows hall la ter he had a confectionery store on main st in the present sienko shoe repair store leaving georgetown in 1941 he jived at trenton for two years then at peterborough where he was projectionist at the odeon theatre he was a member of the anglican church and the ioof lodge he leaves one son ssgt allan young stationed at toronto mill tary hospital and grandchildren llanys and david his wife died in 1952 and he was also predeceas ed by two brothers walter and tudor of swansea wales archdeacon ongley conducted the funeral service on march 15 in st johns anglican church peterborough and interment also survive robert hillsburgh tom and clayton of toronto and pearl mrs george tucox of hillsburgh and eight grandchildren the funeral service was con ducted in the burns presbyterian church on saturday march 22nd at 2 p m by rev hawk of that church and the minister of the disciple church pallbearers were george tarzwell george tilcox fred tarzwell frank root frank cunningham and walter continuation school and brampton high school keen ly interested in history she had a lifetime collection of documents and historical writings of price- lesss value and was considered at orangevillc smous business is the american all stars that will be representing georgetown at the young canada hockey week at godench come easter holidavs the writer has bem closclv ass eialed with this team all season and wc think they will make s better showing at godench thin they did at milton but they are going to have to skate faster shoot harder and play the best hockey of their young lives come easter holiday time this tourna ment at godench will be a won derful experience for our 10 11 year boys and no matter win lose or draw as long as they play good clean hockey and act as sports men from georgetown then we will all be proud of them no word available yet when the saturday morning playoffs will resume but when we know we will publish it in the herald remem- ton and toronto she leaves
