the chair and mrs jack lawson of pine- grove school was elected presid- eft mis lyla pollock con to continue in the office of secre tary treasurer until the septem ber meeting which will be held on the fourth monday of septem ber mr mckeown made a presenta tion speech to mrs edna beaum ont of glen williams public school who is retiring at the end of this term donna mcmillan and thorn as darcie made the presentation of an occasional chair and cushion the teachers of the glen school entertained their guests with a delicious lunch at the close of the meeting selections by beethoven chopin padcrewski grieg and schumann mingled with spritely tunes by less well known composers at a pianoforte recital by pupils from the studios of bruce m harding and his wife margaret bradley harding on june 23rd the evening recital took place at 64 mam st s with parents and friends attending to hear the pupils perform those taking part in the recital were jane collett mary lou brown margaret thom pson john stopper ellen biehn joan harris betty ann brown rosemary meades laura bairstow lynne ritchie roberta hawes john flnla betty mae mileham heather meades bill sayers car rol farnell ann pur pose the tests were marked by the grade eight pupils op the basis of accuracy spelling and neatness the results were so encourag ing that it was difficult for the markers to choose the winners the
