when school opens in september 1950 tenders are being called next week by harnett and rieder ar- chitectsfor demolishing the ori ginal part of the school building and replacing it with twelve new classrooms and a gym the work- will commence this fall with as little disruption as possible to the school curriculum a second storey will be added to the first building addition which fronts on the thc tinghouse the bank of nova scotia atlas steel the mess of the royal regiment of canada these drapes all incorporated the symbols of the various companies the research that went into the company design was an education in itself mrs hoey is now do ing research on halton county and is reproducing her drawings for draperies bedspreads and tea towels which are much too beauti ful to use although at the pres ent time she has a modern well- equipped workshop for the pro duction of her materials her early equipment was aft homemade and having no experience and no one to teach her about the process of dye steaming and many other problems she encountered many set backs and how she progress ed and surmounted these difficul ties was an inspiration lo every one mrs jean bundle thanked her
