girls pipe band is resuming a custom of a few ears back the- annual ball at the arena rose room since there are a few ghs students in the band i want to take this oppor tunity to discuss this occasion the highland ball is open to everyone students teachers and parents alike dress is optional al though if jou belong to an organt zation such as the lome scots we are uniting jou to wear your kilt and all we are hoping to create a scot tish atmosphere both with decora tions and with the music ed br die and his scottish orchestra will be present to lead ou in a varie ty of dances some scottish and a lot of regular dances part a through the eening there will be a luck draw and the holder of the winning ticket will be presented with a mink stole the proceeds will go towards new pipe band uniforms discuss one of the new male mem bers of the ghs staff mr kaye mr kaye was born in toronto and educated at st michaels col lege he attended the university of toronto where ht studied for estr and obtained his bscr it is not until this ear eijht vears afti r his graduation that mr kaye entered the teaching field now he i- j fully qualified hih school tea cher and tiaches agricultural sei i net
