ag ain a very successful event in the life of the congregation appro iraately 325 people sat down far their dinner from 5 30 until 800 and a short program was presen ted twice during the evening those who contributed musically on the program were the cotton family from orton mr l duby of acton mr w dunbar and mrs wm early from campbellvilje mrs p j shortill and mrs j black mrs ward bruce of os pnnge also delighted the audience with several humorous readings mr mcbnde acted s chairman and expressed the thanks of all the congregation to everyone who had in any way helped to make the evening such a success on sunday morning the regular church service was conducted by the younger members of the con gregation many families were out together and the junior choir led in the singing and a loel duet on the loi of mother was sung b carol n mcenery and bn an sinclair the choir sang the hymn v he cometh the sunday school superintendent messrs duncan gibson and ross shbrull led in the service of worship and a short story about a little chinese boy was read by miss beth mcenery mr and mrs j tarswell and family visited at the home of mr tom mack on sunday weekend visitors at the manse were mrs
